Intelligent Event Modules

Systems, devices and applications communicate status, warnings, and distress by sending strings of text that are intended to be interpreted by an operator and/or system manager. Having humans monitor and respond to all these messages has become an overwhelming task due to the number of systems, devices, and applications being managed.

ConsoleWorks® Intelligent Event Modules (IEM) can assist by monitoring these communications 24x7, matching them with predefined text patterns, and declaring alarms based on the critical nature of their occurrence in real-time.

Each IEM is designed around a particular operating system, application or device, and contains a thorough database of known error messages and warning conditions such as low disk space or thermal tolerance. Associated with each error message is a reaction instruction specific to that error message, which can be customized by a client. These reaction instructions can range from notifying specific personnel, automatically generating helpdesk tickets, power cycling a device, or executing code on the device in question.
