What is Caché?

Caché is a post-relational database that uniquely offers three integrated data access options which can be used simultaneously on the same data: a robust object database, high performance SQL, and rich multidimensional access. No mapping is required between object, relational, and multidimensional views of data, resulting in huge savings in both development and processing time. Caché enables rapid Web application development, extraordinary transaction processing speed, massive scalability, and real-time queries against transactional data; recent developments have included the ability to use the database on the increasingly important Tablet PC’s.

XS-EnterpriseSCHEDULE & Caché

XS-EnterpriseSCHEDULE (known in the US as EnterpriseSCHEDULE) provides an important new tool for Caché users; it will allow them to spend less time managing and scheduling jobs, and to run more jobs overnight without manual intervention. The XS-EnterpriseSCHEDULE automation interface has been functional at a number of US teaching medical universities utilizing the IDX medical software systems. 

The XS-EnterpriseSCHEDULE solution includes several key features to facilitate its integration and streamline its use in the Caché environment. One enhancement is a simple mechanism for capturing keystrokes as a user types and then saving them into a job for automated re-use later on. Another is preprocessing substitution that allows the flexible replacement of data at runtime using customized property pages.  This, along with other key benefits which maintain maximum flexibility in the execution of these systems, have proved to be a very effective tool at the participating sites.
