WatchTower® is an automated, 100% Web based network and systems monitoring platform based on industry standard SNMP agents for data collection. Running on Red Hat Enterprise LINUX or CentOS, WatchTower uses XML, a Postgres® database and RRD files for statistics. Apache Tomcat®, Jetspeed and Web are used to support the configurable dashboards, extensive visualizations and use Ajax, Flash, JAAS and Javascript liberally for a rich user experience. WatchTower’s architecture has been designed to achieve the following goals:
